The thing that makes this disk worth having is the Atmos mix and overall quality of the recording and mastering. I've read some reviews say it has too much bottom end, but for me, I like to feel those concert bass drum hits in my chest, and this delivers. As far as the performances, I'm no expert on The Rite of Spring, but I have a few versions, and the one here is very good. This original version of Night on Bald Mountain is okay, but I much prefer the Ravel interpretation, which is far tighter and more exciting. The Miraculous Mandarin is interesting to hear, but not a favourite piece. Recommended, if only to hear The Rite in excellent surround sound.
